DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The roundabout at Campbellton Road is getting closer to opening.
Curbs are still needed before it’ll be ready for through traffic, and the county is hoping the rain holds off so work can start back next Monday.
Houston County Commissioner Ricky Herring says it could be finished soon.
“It could be within august sometime if not before august,” Houston County District 3 Commissioner Ricky Herring said. “I know they’d like curbing to be put in, and so it’s not far from being done. If we can get the rain to hold off and mother nature letting us getting things done, our road and bridge department is going to get it done. They’re doing a great job.”
Herring said projects like these usually cost over a million dollars, but this one is getting done for around $700k.
