SAMSON, Ala. (WDHN) — A Samson man faces kidnapping and drug trafficking charges after his alleged victim escaped, according to Police Chief Jimmy Hill.

This past Saturday, the Samson Police Department got a call about a woman in danger. Upon making contact with the woman, the victim told officers she was kidnapped by Jowell Nunn of Samson.

According to Hill, the victim said Nunn kidnapped her from her home at gunpoint, but she was able to escape once Nunn took her to his residence.

Samson police, with the help of the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office and Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, began their investigation. Officers searched Nunn’s home and vehicle and discovered evidence for the kidnapping, two AR-15-style rifles, drug paraphernalia, and around 80 grams of methamphetamine

Nunn now faces charges for first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping, and drug trafficking.
