SAMSON, Ala. (WDHN) — For the first time in more than a year, the Samson Senior Center welcomed those 60 years and older to their facility on Ripley Street.
The center had been closed to indoor activities like card games and dominos since March 2020 due to the pandemic.
Now the center plans to be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays to all senior citizens that want to come out and have some fun.
For those who live alone like Samson resident, Kate Strickland, she says she has missed the socialization with her friends and neighbors.
On the days the center is closed, meals will still be delivered to clients.
