Cottonwood Schools: school will be delayed by one hour
Dothan City Schools: no delays; schools “will be understanding of tardiness if your child is late to school this morning.”
Houston County Schools: no delays; “no one will be counted tardy at all of Houston County Schools due to weather conditions.”
Troy Dothan Campus: delayed until 9 a.m.
Houston Academy: Due to severe weather, 7th-12th grade exams will be delayed until 10:00 a.m. Fifth grade will report from 10:00-12:00. Faculty is to report at 9:30 a.m. School has been canceled for 3P-4th grade.
More schools have announced via Facebook they will be delaying/closing school for Tuesday, December 17, due to inclement weather. Schools that are currently delayed/closed include:
- Coffee County Schools (delayed by two hours)
- Elba City Schools (according to Facebook, “students will not report to school tomorrow”)
- Enterprise City Schools (delayed by two hours)
- Enterprise State Community College (delayed until 9:30 a.m.)

COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Coffee County Schools and Enterprise City Schools will have a delayed start Tuesday, December 17, due to possible inclement weather.
According to Facebook posts from the Coffee County School System and Enterprise City Schools, school will be delayed for two hours. Buses will be delayed as well.
