TROY, Ala (WDHN) — A Troy man is in critical condition after a semi-truck hit a bucket truck and threw two men into the street.
According to Troy Police, on Tuesday, January 31, at approximately 2:26 p.m., the TPD responded to an accident in the 100 block of North 3 Notch Street, and when officers arrived on the scene, they found two male victims on the roadway suffering injuries from an accident.
Police say witnesses on the scene stated that the two men were working on a building using a bucket lift and a passing tractor-trailer truck hit the equipment, throwing the two men from the bucket and into the road.
The tractor-trailer truck continued south on North 3 Notch street but officers were able to locate the vehicle on Henderson Highway, according to TPD.
Troy Fire Department responded and attended to the men before they were transported to a Montgomery area hospital.
One of the men was released from the hospital the same day after treatment and the second man is still hospitalized and listed in critical condition.
No charges have been filed and the investigation is still ongoing.
