COFFEE CO., Ala. (WDHN)—It was a particularly “dangerous” weekend to be on Coffee County roadways sheriff deputies assisted
the highway patrol with three separate wrecks.
Two of the wrecks happened on State Highway 84 between Enterprise and Elba. The third happened on
State Highway 189 North of Elba.
Also, in Enterprise, it was the second weekend in a row where a serious motorcycle accident occurred.
Last weekend’s wreck at the intersection of the Boll Weevil Circle and Bellwood Highway killed the motorcyclist.
Coffee County Chief Deputy “Ronnie Whitworth” is a “retired” Alabama Highway trooper he believes that GPS sending
Motorists through “heavily congested” areas may be partly responsible for some of the problems.
