Elba schools planning to bring back standardized testing

Local News

COFFEE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — Elba City School Superintendent Chris Moseley spoke in a teleconference with State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey concerning standardized testing.

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to go down, state and local educators said it’s now time to get standardized student testing back on course.

Moseley said it’s been nearly nonexistent since the start of the pandemic a year ago.

“It’s going to be important moving forward as you build your plan for any types of gaps that have been created over the pandemic,” Moseley said.

Moseley said many school issues will be answered with Gov. Kay Ivey’s scheduled COVID-19 update on Friday.
