TAYLOR, Ala. (WDHN) — Wiregrass residents will be able to purchase their favorite local fruits and vegetables.

The City of Taylor is back with its 4th annual Taylor Farmers Market. The market will run every Friday in June and July from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

The Farmers Market Volunteer Manager, Maranda Weathers said this farmers market gives the community an opportunity to support vendors who go out and sell their peppers, peaches, and baked goods.

“All of our vendors here directly support giving back to the Taylor-Rehobeth community in one way or another,” Weathers said.

Weathers tells WDHN, community members have the opportunity to get to know the people who are growing their produce. She said many have unique stories and situations.

“They live in this area, their kids go to school in this area, so it is so important for our community members to come out and support our vendors.”

Weathers welcomes anyone who wants to participate in the farmers market to reach out for more information.
