ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — On Tuesday, the Enterprise City Council approved the temporary closure of portions of three roads near the new Recreation and Aquatic Center construction site on East Lee Street.

Sections of East Brunson Street, Hollis Street, and Swenson Street will be closed effective immediately.

Those streets surround the area where the M.N. (Jug) Brown Recreation Center once stood before it was demolished on Monday.

The temporary closures will stay in effect until such time as the portions of those streets are permanently vacated. Drivers are reminded to use caution while traveling and be mindful of crews working in the area.

A public hearing for the permanent vacation is set for Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 at the regularly scheduled Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
