ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) — In Elba Monday night, several hundred residents and out-of-towners lined the downtown square streets.
Elba Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Sandy Bynum-Williams, says this year’s Christmas parade is the largest turnout in recent memory.
Marching bands, floats, and beauty queens took part in the Yuletide Extravaganza. In fact, St. Nick and his posse of reindeer made it to the Wiregrass from their home at the North Pole.
Many believe the unseasonably warm temps helped bring out a larger-than-anticipated crowd.
And before heading back to the north pole, reporters said they heard Santa saying peace to the world, and especially to all the kids waiting for him to drop off toys at their homes around the world in about three weeks.
