Dothan Ala. (WDHN) — A local nonprofit announced when it is beginning its annual fundraising campaign involving local businesses.
The Wiregrass United Way will set into motion its “Pacesetter” kickoff on Tuesday, August 3rd, at the wiregrass rehabilitation center at eight-thirty in the morning.
Folks at this launch will be packing meals for the wiregrass food bank, learning about what the non-profit does for the community, and how to conduct the organization’s campaign. The Wiregrass United Way C-E-O Walter Hill said this pacesetter is very important not only for the organization, but also for the entire community.
“It really does motivate and encourage the people within the companies to work hard and raise a lot of funds for our partner agencies, and also the meals to feed 30 thousand people are going to the wiregrass food bank and they will stay right here in southeast Alabama,” Hill said.
