Man dies after crash that was engulfed in flames in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Alabama state troopers are investigating a truck drivers death in a crash that happened early Friday morning on U.S. Highway 431 in Henry County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the accident involved a tractor trailer that ran off the road and hit a tree causing the vehicle to catch fire and was completely engulfed in flames.

The name of the driver was Steven M. Motes, 49, of Cumming, Ga, per Henry County Coroner Derek Wright.

The crash is under investigation, and no other information is available at this time as ALEA continues to investigate the accident.
