TROY, Ala (WDHN) — A 21-year-old Troy man has pled guilty to rape and robbery charges stemming from a 2020 arrest, according to the Pike County District Attorney.
On Tuesday, September 5, Tevin Darby pled guilty to one count of Rape in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, and Robbery in the First Degree.
Troy Police stated in November 2020, Darby broke into a home armed with a pistol and sexually assaulted a woman before robbing her and running away.
Police arrested Darby while trying to flee the scene.
Darby was sentenced to 40 years on each charge, running concurrently with each other.
