TROY, Ala (WDHN) — Troy University has big plans once the state-wide mask mandate ends April 9th. The next day, April 10th, Troy is hosting “T-Day” next Saturday.
Starting the morning off, there will be a Celebration of Life for the late Sim Byrd who was a quarterback for Troy. Byrd passed away in late 2020 due to COVID-19 complications.
Next, Troy’s football team is having their spring game at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Following that is a softball game at 3 p.m. and a baseball game at 4 p.m.
The University is still finalizing safety protocols but with the ending of the mask mandate on the 9th, Troy will not be requiring masks to be worn inside the stadiums.
