OPP, Ala (WDHN)— An active investigation is underway in Opp after two elderly men were found dead in a home.

According to WAAO in Andalusia, on the morning of October 11, the Opp Police Department received a call to perform a welfare check at a residence in the 300 block of Bryant Circle in Opp. When officers arrived on the scene no one came to the door and forced entry was made. Inside the residence, officers discovered two dead males in the bedroom.

The two men have been identified as Kincey Troy Jeffcoat, 60, and Raymond Lloyd Anderson, 63. Police say the bodies had been in the home for some time before being found.

Sources say that during a search of the residence, narcotics were found.

The two bodies have been sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

No additional information will be released as this is an active investigation.
