FADETTE, Ala. (WDHN) — Two people have suffered critical injuries from a three-vehicle crash in Fadette.
At around 9:44 a.m. Thursday, both Fadette Fire and Slocomb Fire-Rescue were sent to respond to the wreck, which was at the intersection of South State Highway 103 and South County Road 49.
Slocomb Fire Chief Kyle Hovey got to the scene within seconds of the dispatch call and said there were three vehicles that were heavily damaged. Two people were critically injured and were trapped in the wreckage.
The emergency personnel managed to get the victims out of the vehicles. One had to be airlifted to Southeast Health by the Survival Flight 15 medical helicopter while another was taken through ground transport.
