ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)— An overnight stand-off with an armed homeowner kept local and state authorities Busy in Enterprise.

At around seven o’clock Tuesday night, Enterprise police arrived at a townhouse on “Woodfield “Place” after
a homeowner allegedly fired a gunshot at an “unoccupied” neighbor’s townhouse.

The reported shooter, Kenneth Young, would not leave his home. ALEA state tactical team was called
to the scene to assist in arresting the 61-year-old.

Following hours of negotiations, Young would surrender to authorities without further incident at 4:30 this morning.
Police are happy no one was injured, and that includes the suspect.

There have been “ongoing” issues between the suspect, and the neighbor whose house was shot at.

Young is being held in the Coffee County jail for “shooting into an unoccupied dwelling”,
second-degree stalking, and menacing.
