DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Wallace Community College has released its updated COVID-19 protocols for the Spring 2022 semester.

In a statement they released on Thursday, the college said they are implementing a masks requirement for all enrolled students, however, dual enrollment students will follow the policy of the high school that they attend.

“The WCCD Health and Safety Plan for the Spring 2022 semester will include a requirement to wear
masks while indoors. This mask requirement applies to individuals at all College sites and became
effective on January 4, 2022, and it will remain in place until pandemic trends allow the College to end
the requirement. The mask policy for dual enrollment students will be the policy in that high school or
center in which the classes are held.”

Taylor Wheeler, Director of Public Relations & Marketing

WCC college say they will continue to monitor guidelines issued by the CDC, the Governor’s Office, and the
Alabama Community College System Office.

“For the safety of our students and staff we felt that it was a prudent idea for us to reinstate masks,” Wheeler said.
