DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Police have identified the man believed to be responsible for robbing and sexually assaulting bridal shop employee in Dothan.

A release from the Dothan Police Department states that Travis Dickson Wilson of Cottondale, Florida, is the man suspected of attacking a female employee at the Andrews Bridal Shop in the 2800 block of Montgomery Highway on April 1, taking an undisclosed amount of cash with him. 

During their investigation, a kidnapping and rape similar to the attack in Dothan happened in the town of Chipley, Florida. 

“The description given in both crimes were the same, as well as, other details involved in the investigation,” the release states.

Dothan police were then able to issue several warrants for Dickson’s arrest. He is currently wanted for first-degree robbery, first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse.

Wilson is believed to have escaped the area while driving a red 2018 Dodge Journey with a Florida tag. He is said to be armed.
