HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza announced a crackdown on gun violence and illegal firearms, saying “it’s not even safe for people to go out to eat or go to the mall without thinking about it.”

In a candid news conference, Valenza said the crackdown will be noticeable to the public. The sheriff talked about the role of violent video games and some of today’s music lyrics and appealed to the public to help combat gun violence.
