DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) —You can find yourself surrounded by history when the Week of the Wall comes to the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.

The largest replica of the Vietnam Wall is coming to the Wiregrass from September 7th through the 11th. It is absolutely free to attend and will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with events happening throughout the days, such as a low-noise firework show, and USO-style show on the opening night. The school day is Friday, September 8th, and a 5k run on Saturday.

On 9/11, there will be a Patriot Day ceremony at Culpepper Park in Daleville.

Wall to the Wiregrass will help the Wiregrass Honor Flight Program, which will fly veterans to Washington D.C. to the Wall there and other places.

The Wall will arrive tomorrow, September 6th, from a 111-mile escort from Montgomery. It will be like a Parade leaving at around 11 in the morning and arriving here in the Wiregrass around 2 or 3 that afternoon. You can Jump in the parade wherever you can and be a part of the fun.
