DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Severe storms rolled through the region earlier this afternoon and caused damage in multiple locations. Here’s a county-by-county breakdown of reports we have received thus far:

HOUSTON COUNTY:

  • Multiple trees and powerlines down on the east side of Dothan near Ashford and Columbia with structural damage and a roof torn off of a business near the Farmers Co-Op of Ashford.
  • A tree fell on a power line near Denton Road and Junaluska Avenue in north Dothan. Denton Road was closed in this area to clean up tree debris.
  • Tree limb fell across Bill Yance Road in Webb.
  • Tree down at Highlands on the west side of Dothan.
  • Power line down and tree on Washington Street in Columbia.

DALE COUNTY:

  • Trees down at 860 Faust Avenue near U.S. Highway 231 and Bivins Drive, blocking a roadway.
  • Tree down on power line at 551 Skipperville Road in Ozark. Road was briefly closed to clean up tree debris.

HENRY COUNTY:

  • Big swing set blown over near the community of Capps via social media.
  • Trees and power lines down across road in Capps via 911 call center.
