DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Wiregrass United Way is planning to launch its next fundraising campaign and before the kickoff on Tuesday, August 3. The non-profit trained nearly 30 new loaned executive officers on Thursday.

One of the area managers for the organization, Josie Buntin said these loaned executives learned about United Way, and how to conduct a United Way campaign before they going out and serving the Wiregrass.

“They’re allowing us to just be out in the community more, they’re allowing us to amplify the impact of United Way because they’re allowing us to communicate and teach people about the importance of giving and donating, also everything that’s happening in the community,” Buntin said.

If you are interested in volunteering to help the United Way campaign as a loaned executive, you’ll have to wait until next year because the slots for this campaign are full now.
