DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The City of Dothan is in need of people to help work together on Saturday to beautify a neighborhood in the Circle City.

The cities latest ‘Love Your Neighborhood’ project will be cleaning up portions of the “Sullivan Heights” neighborhood.

According to Mayor Mark Saliba, this program is a way for city leaders and citizens to work together to enhance and know the needs of the neighborhoods they are serving. Volunteers are asked to help residents move away trash and unwanted items away from their property.

“It’s such a blessing because it allows people to not go out and serve but to work with one another and see the importance of our neighborhoods and our city,” Saliba said.

Volunteers are asked to meet at First Christian Church which is located on Northern Cherokee Avenue in Dothan beginning at 8:00 A.M., the event will continue until noon.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring any tools they might want to use.
