Man recovering after being shot at Blakely nightclub Sunday morning

BLAKELY, Ga. (WDHN) — A man is recovering at a Dothan hospital after being shot at a Blakely nightclub early Sunday morning.

According to a Facebook post by Blakely Police, a fight broke out at Club Gold Rush on North Church Street just before 1 a.m. Gunshots were also heard and officers were called to the scene.

“A short time later, a 27 year old male presented at the LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early Emergency Room with a gunshot wound.” Blakely Police said.

Blakely PD said the shooting took place inside the club. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening wound and was later taken to a Dothan hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. Blakely Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call the police department at (229) 723-3414.
