OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Ozark police officer Samuel Yoh is showing signs of improvement after being shot multiple times last week.

Around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, the Ozark Police Department released updates on Officer Yoh. According to the release, Yoh is now able to react to medical personnel commands, raise his arms and thumbs, move his head and neck, as well as breathe without assistance for short periods of time.

The press release also states Yoh has been able to acknowledge his family’s presence with non-verbal gestures.

Although these developments are improvements, Yoh is not completely out of the woods just yet. He remains in critical condition.
