DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — On Friday, Alabama Dance Works, formally known as Patti Rutland Jazz, celebrated the 14th year of its dance show, Santa’s Workshop.

The Dothan Civic Center auditorium was full of over 2,000 kids from school systems from all over the Wiregrass.

The show is a way to celebrate the art of dance through storytelling, which is a goal instilled by Alabama Dance Works.

“Our whole mission at Alabama Dance Works is to instill an appreciation and a love for dance in the community, and this is one way we get to share our art with them in a really fun way,” Alabama Dance Works Artistic Director, Christina Hicks said.

Shows will run through December 4.
