Ozark gets ready for a night of Disney

News

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — The Ozark Boys and Girls Club is gearing up for a Disney-themed show on May 21 at 7:00 p.m.

After not being able to meet to rehearsing in masks and with social distancing, the musical group is happy to be back together and are looking forward to performing some of their favorite songs for viewers.

From Pocahontas to Aladdin, there will be something for everyone.

“It was just a challenge of knowing how do we sing with our masks on?” theater director Mikaela Sullivan said. “How do we dance? You know you get hot and sweaty, and you’re like, I have a mask on my face, and it’s hard and challenging to breathe, but we’ve made it through it, and this is going to be our third show so it’s very exciting.”

The show will be at the Ozark Amphitheater, and it is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
