OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Mary Hill Family Service Center will get Ozark residents in the spooky spirit this weekend.

The organization will hold the first Scarecrows on the Square Halloween event on Oct. 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It will be a family fun night with games, a movie, light refreshments and businesses will be able to participate in a scarecrow contest.

Executive Director Paige Knight said sponsoring this free event will familiarize their name with the community, but while you’re having fun you can also help their program.

“We’re going to have a photo booth one of our board members has created a little place with people with families can have a photo we also have this little game funds for the fountain and hope people will throw their coins in this little pumpkin, so we can use this money to go towards our workforce development program.”

They are expecting a great turnout for the event if all goes well, they will make this an annual event.
