GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A Friday night accident involving a car and a pedestrian has left one Geneva County man dead.
The accident claimed the life of Rashaud Dubose, 31, of Slocomb, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
At 9:09 p.m. Friday night, Geneva County E911 received a call of a pedestrian being struck by an automobile on County Road 91 in Slocomb. Officials say the driver of the vehicle was unable to see the pedestrian who was wearing dark clothing and walking in the middle of the road at the time of the accident.
They also say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
This accident is under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) and the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office.
