UPDATE (WDHN) — A man is fighting for his life at a Columbus, Ga., hospital after being shot twice in Eufaula Friday afternoon.

According to Eufaula Police, a 37-year-old man was wounded around 3 p.m. on Norman Street. The victim was taken to Medical Center Barbour and was flown to Piedmont Columbus Hospital for treatment. He is listed in critical conditions.

‘The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident.  Witnesses eventually described the events leading up to the shooting to Detectives and all leads are being followed.,” police said.

EUFAULA, Ala. (WDHN) — One man has been airlifted to a hospital after a shooting in Eufaula late Friday afternoon.

Police Chief Steve Watkins tells our sister station, WRBL, the shooting happened on Norman Street. A man was shot twice, and is in critical but stable condition. The victim was airlifted to Piedmont Hospital.

A person of interest has been identified, but no one has been arrested.
