ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—Today, several dozen young children got to meet a group of dedicated emergency responders.

It was “Mom’s day out” at the “Stepping stones preschool” located in the Enterprise First United Methodist Church.

Pre-school director, Tammy Ezzell, says the purpose is to let the children know that police, firefighters,
and ambulance personnel are their friends.

In some cases during an emergency, young children are scared and hide from first responders.

One firefighter in full bunker gear told the kids that he may look a little scary, but he would be there to help in the event of a house fire.
