Proposed plans for Ross Clark Circle

Alabama Department of Transportation officials and State Representative Paul Lee are holding a public meeting today discussing the future of Ross Clark Circle.

The proposed plans are to add lanes from Bauman Drive to US Hwy. 231 North on Ross Clark Circle, and from Belaire Drive to Englewood Drive along US Hwy. 84.

The project will cost over $40 million, but much of that money was reallocated from the failed Interstate 10 connecter.

The project will officially begin on Thursday with a public hearing meeting at Westgate Park from 5-7 p.m.

The final design of the new lanes have not been set in stone, and the organizers want those who travel the roads to go out and have their voice heard on how the design should be.
