DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After five years of going back in forth in a Houston County court.
The case of a former Dothan student resource officer accused of having sexual interactions with two students is coming to an end as two victims took the stand and an investigator.
Adrian Folmar is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl while employed with Dothan City Schools at the old Dothan High School, which is now Dothan Preparatory Academy as a school resource officer.
Folmar was arrested in 2017 after a report was received from the 17-year-old girl that Folmar forced her to give him oral sex and was in contact with her.
The victim says the two started talking to each other through Snapchat.
During the trial, photos of the conversation between Folmar and the girls were shown.
The girl says Folmar and her would hang out and on three different instances oral sex was given.
Folmar’s attorney asked the victim several questions with intention of the victim losing credibility of what really happened.
The alleged second victim was a 14-year-old student at the time and she says Folmar was her school SRO and one of her basketball coaches.
She says Folmar asked for several of her teammate’s Snapchat.
Folmar would drive her home from practice once a week and in one instance, Folmar tried to kiss her and touch her sexually.
The investigator provided message receipts between Folmar and the two victims, which highlighted the instances in question.
The investigator characterizes Folmar’s Miranda interview as an admission of guilt.
Thursday morning, the prosecution will rest its case and the defense is expected to call up their witnesses.
