DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A local politician received an honor based on his contributions to the disabled community.
On Monday morning, the Alabama ID 310 association presented the “Representative of the Year” award to Alabama House of Representatives member Paul Lee.
The award was a way to say thank you for the work he’s done for disabled individuals throughout the state amid the pandemic.
“The care that they need and the help that they need, a lot of times they don’t have the support because they’re kind of left to the side. Our goal is to treat everybody equal, treat everybody the way they should be treated, and give them every opportunity they can to live a normal life,” Rep. Lee said.
This was the first time the ‘Representative of the Year’ award had been awarded.
