DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — 20 different organizations from around Houston County gathered today to participate in the Dothan City Schools Resource Fair.

This is the first time DCS has held this fair ever.

It was open for parents of Dothan City School students and also open for residents of Houston County.

Dothan City Schools wants to let the city know that if a parent or student needs that DCS will do their best to meet that need.

The fair ran from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Dothan City Schools building on Honeysuckle Road.

“To better their lives,” Chief Operations Officer for Dothan City Schools Scott Faulk said. “That’s number one. To make sure there are no borders or boundaries that’s keeping them or their children from participating in schools and being successful in our school system.”

Dothan City Schools is already looking to host another resource fair sometime in the spring.
