HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A lodging tax could be coming for short-term rentals in Henry County
Right now, there are approximately 15 short-term rentals throughout the county, not including in the city limits of Headland and Abbeville and the commission now wants to enforce a 4% lodging tax
The city of Headland and Abbeville already collect a similar tax and brought home $3,000 and $10,000 each in 2022.
The Henry County Commission believes that this tax could bring more money to the Henry County Economic Development Authority.
