SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN)—Earlier this week, the Slocomb city council passed a resolution in the
Amount of 20-thousand dollars. It is earmarked for events and tourism
in that Eastern Geneva County municipality.
The majority of those funds will go toward the promotion of the annual Slocomb
Tomato festival, which hasn’t been held for the last two years due to the pandemic.
City organizers are still working on lining up entertainment, but the event will be held
Friday night and all day Saturday on June 17th and 18th, 2022.
