COTTONDALE, Fla (WDHN) — The City of Cottondale, Florida, has issued boil water for citizens in certain areas.
The notice is in effect as of Monday, May 15, at 8:30 a.m. due to water line repair. It will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink.
The affected areas cover:
- Glastel Street East to Willow Street
- Johnson Loop and Bellamy Circle
- Willow Street South to Levy Street (US Highway 90)
- Cottondale Elementary School
This notice will affect approximately 90 customers. The city advises that everyone affected by this notice boil all water that is used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. A rolling boil of one minute will be sufficient. Bottled water can be used as an alternative.
