The Coffee Co. Sheriff’s office will soon provide Elba City Schools with SRO

ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) — In coming weeks, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office will provide a school resource officer for Elba City Schools.

Last month, the Elba City School System contracted with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office to provide a SRO Deputy for Elba City Elementary, Middle and High Schools. All three schools are within a short distance of each other.

The sheriff’s office currently provides SRO’s for Coffee County Schools, which include two in New Brockton, one in Zion Chapel, and the K-12th grade Kinston School.

School resource officers have helped defuse dangerous situations nationwide, and of course, are a big help here.
