Toby Seay sworn in as Geneva County Probate Judge and County Commisoner

Toby Seay received the oath of office from Geneva County District Judge Stephen Smith.

In last June’s primary, Seay defeated incumbent Fred Hamic for the post. In addition today, several other state constitutional officers took the oath of office including Sheriff  Tony Helms, Clerk of Court Gayle Laye, and Coroner Donnie Adkinson.

Seay has spent more than two decades as a juvenile probation officer. He says he’s looking forward to serving the public.

“As probate judge, I’ll be working with the public and as your commission chairman we will develop a strategic plan in trying to move the county forward,” Seay said.

Following Sheriff Helms being sworn-in for a second term, he then swore-in his Geneva County deputies.
