BREAKING: Police Chief, Captain fired at Ozark City Council meeting

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) – During Tuesday evening’s Ozark City Council meeting, the city’s police chief and a police captain were fired.

Mayor Mark Blankenship confirmed in communication to WDHN that the employment of Chief Marlos Walker and Police Captain Tim Hicks ended after the council reconvened following an executive session.

A reason for the dismissal has not been disclosed. The mayor did not provide any other details to WDHN Tuesday evening.
