DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — WDHN will be speaking with attorney David Harrison, the man representing Coley McCraney, on Wednesday about the murder accusations made against McCraney.
McCraney is the latest suspect in the 1999 murders of 17-year-olds J.B. Beasley and Tracie Hawlett, having been identified through a recent DNA match.
Harrison previously told the Associated Press that finding a jury that is not already aware of the case is going to be difficult and that a venue change may be necessary to get McCraney a fair trial.
One of Harrison’s previous client was Ronnie Gilley, the real estate developer who pleaded guilty to conspiracy and bribery charges back in 2011.
AlaCourt records show that a second lawyer, Andrew J Scarborough, is also working on the case.
