UPDATE: One million dollar bond set for woman involved in deadly accident last October

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — New information has been released on Ty’Kerria Ni’Chelle Duncan, 21, who was charged with murder-reckless after an accident that happened last October.

The wreck happened on Paramore Road when two vehicles hit each other head-on that resulted in the death of the other driver Kayla Metcalf, 26. Metcalf’s three children were also severely injured along with a passenger in the other car.

Duncan’s bond was recently modified after going to a grand jury and is currently set at $1,000,000.

She is still booked in the Dale County Jail.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Police Department has charged a woman with murder in the wreck that killed another woman and seriously hurt her family on Oct. 1.

That day, traffic investigators were called to a wreck on Paramore Road in which two vehicles hit each other head-on. The wreck killed Kayla Metcalf and severely injured her three children and a passenger in the other vehicle.

A DPD release states the driver who caused the incident, Ty’Kerria Ni’Chelle Duncan, was under the influence of a controlled substance. As a result, she faces a murder charge and three charges for first-degree assault.

She has been booked into the Dale County Jail with no bond as of this report.
