UPDATE (WDHN) — WDHN News has learned a teenager is in custody in connection to the fatal shooting that happened at an apartment complex on West Inez Road Monday evening.
A source told WDHN Tuesday evening that a 17-year-old has been taken into custody.
More information is expected to be released later Tuesday evening.
UPDATE (WDHN) – An Ozark man died after being shot multiple times Monday night at an apartment complex in south Dothan.
Police said the shooting happened in the 400 block of West Inez Road around 9:15 p.m. Dothan Fire Medics attempted CPR on the victim, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
The victim has been identified as Dantrell Kelly Lindor, 23, of Ozark.
Dothan Police Lt. Scott Owens told WDHN News that a person of interest has been identified in the case but no arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.

Tanglewood Apartments issued a press release statement concerning the incident:
“The entire Tanglewood community is devastated to hear the news about a shooting at the property. We can confirm, based on public information, that one individual is deceased and the suspect(s) have not been apprehended. This is an active police investigation and we do not have any information available beyond what is already publicly available. We will cooperate fully with the police as they search for the individual(s) who did this. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the victim and their family. UPDATE (WDHN) — The victim of Monday evening’s shooting at an apartment complex in south Dothan has died. Initial reports indicated the person sustained mortal wounds to the arm and chest.
CPR was performed on the victim on the scene before that person was taken to a local hospital. The victim was pronounced dead upon arrival.
No arrests have been made, and Dothan Police investigators continued piecing together clues about what led up to the shooting.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – One person was wounded in a shooting on the south side of Dothan Monday evening.
Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Inez Road around 9:15 p.m., according to a Dothan Police alert. DPD confirmed to WDHN News that a shooting occurred at the location. The address would place the shooting at an apartment complex just west of Highway 231 and near the southside Walmart.
Other details are not known at this time. WDHN does not know the extent of injuries to the victim, nor if an arrest has been made.
