Two sent to hospital after wreck at Geneva County intersection Sunday afternoon

GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) – A two-vehicle wreck on Highway 52 in Geneva County sent two people to the hospital and caused traffic delays Sunday afternoon.

The wreck happened around 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 52 and Sandy Creek Road near McInnis Veterinary Clinic, between Geneva and Samson. Law enforcement and EMS personnel responded.

Reports from WDHN viewers from the scene indicated a white truck and Corvette collided, causing the Corvette to overturn into a ditch.

Sheriff Tony Helms told WDHN two people were taken to a local hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
