WALTON CO, Fl (WDHN)— A vehicle crash near Defuniak Springs resulted in a fire and multiple injuries

According to Walton County Fire and Rescue, a vehicle ran off the road and entered the woods at a high speed, two miles East of the Defuniak Springs exit on I-10.

The crash resulted in a vehicle fire and two injured parties. The status of the injured patients and their identities are currently unknown.

Walton County Fire and Rescue, Argyle Volunteer Fire Department, Walton County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management, and Florida Highway Patrol are currently on the scene.

Due to the severity of the crash, Florida Highway Patrol will take over the investigation.
