DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — In one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, the Wiregrass United Way is set to kickoff the annual United Way campaign with the Pacesetter Campaign featuring about 100 or so businesses.
Tuesday, August 3, marks the kickoff for the fundraiser and acts as a pacesetter for each business as they plan out their goals for the remainder of the year.
On Tuesday, starting at 8:30 a.m. in the morning, at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, the team will be packaging meals and it will last until 10 a.m.
“The United Way’s goal is to complete all employee campaigns by the end of October to avoid raising money during the holidays,” said the United Way’s Director of Marketing Josie Buntin.
The official campaign kick off is September 23.
