DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — In March the agencies in Bay County, Florida spent weeks trying to contain a rash of wildfires. The cause remains unknown but one of the key set backs in calming those fires was the debris left behind from Hurricane Michael.
Carnell Bryant and Byron Haire from the Georgia Forestry Commission joined WDHN Daytime to give some advice on how to safely conduct a prescribed burn.
A prescribed burn is an intentional fire that is aimed at controlling land or making way for future agricultural practices.
