ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The City of Enterprise will be painted green this weekend, as the World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade hits the street on Saturday.

The World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 12:00 pm, in Downtown Enterprise. 

Major General Michael McCurry, the Commanding General of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Rucker, is the Grand Marshal. 

Immediately following the parade, will be the 5th Annual Half Pint 0.5K which will take place at 12:30 pm.

400 pre-registered “runners” have signed up already, but they will also have same-day registration available beginning at 10:00 am. on Saturday.

A “Shamrockin’ After Party” begins at 1:00 pm., but a scavenger hunt will also be taking place throughout the day and the winner will receive $100 in Main Street Money, to spend at businesses downtown.

Some downtown streets will be closed to traffic during the hours of 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of this community event which began in 1993.
